I had a 1973 tahiti with a 455 and that thing weighed at least 1000 lbs. I used to tell people it did 70-75. I didn't know at the time but when I gpsed my new boat at 70 on up I knew that my tahiti was lucky to hit 65. Those are nice riding boats and I would luve to have mine back since it was almost indestructable but that is the only reason.

I bought 2 motors from Mondello, 1st 10k, second over 15k and both were junk. I should have learned my lesson from the first. Unfortunately Joe does not have a hand in anything that goes out the door anymore. I thought after hearing what Lynn had to say, he could get the job done, but it didn't happen, twice. Lynn also does not touch the motors at least mine anyway, but he should get qualified employees on staff to build motors. My first motor lost oil pressure after 3 quarter track passes, I took the engine back and Lynn could never explain what exactly happened. He talked me into upgrading almost everything in the second motor and that motor lasted 2 half track passes before it siezed. I then took it to Walt Ott in Manteca and he said the clearances in the crankshaft were not even close to where they should have been. I will never again buy anything from the shop named Mondello in Paso Robles. There is a guy named Andy Miller on RealOldsPower.Com that finally has opened his own shop, that is the man to go to for any and all Oldsmobile products. I did go to Dick Miller before Andy and I was impressed by his knowledge and availability of aftermarket Olds products.
Remember, Mondello doesn't suck, it is the business called Mondello's that sucks. Mondello actually knows his stuff, he was a pioneer in many race programs and carried the torch for Olds.

It has a Panther jet and what appears to have been a 350 GM.

For a Tahiti to hit 100 the pump has to be one bad ass peice. I'd buy it for the pump alone and burn the hull on my next camping trip. What are the details on the pump besides a Place Diverter.
You won't find a more seriouse buyer on this board than me. Tell me what you know about the pump. Receipts would be nice too.
thanks,
Scott
