Beautiful day except for a little wind in the afternoon. Really nice seeing everyone. Looked like everyone was having a good time. I'll be there again next year for sure.

whats the purpose of the line from the bow eye besides to mark up that nice new gel? is it in case you have to get towed off the course in a hurry?

STV_Keith

Yes, a mandatory tow rope.

It makes towing a lot easier as the driver doesn't have to get out on the deck of a boat that in some cases may be a potato chip, and also makes finding/marking/retrieving sunken vessels a little easier as well. It's one of those things where, if you need it, you might not have the time or means to get up there and tie it off yourself.

Here are my pictures of Shocker Racing's weekend at the Parker enduro. I definitely have to say it was a great weekend and everyone who helped has my utmost respect and appreciation.
Our day started out with a perfect sunrise on the patio of RiverBound's pad. Thanks again Bill for letting us stay with you.

Who owns this boat ? Looks to be one of my fathers last circle racers from the 70's. Saguaro with a Jacuzzi pump locked straight, and twin rudders beside the intake to steer with....is this the one ? I know only a few were made, and those were his colors he always ran. I talked to a guy a couple years ago that bought and was going to fix it up, just curious if this is the same hull or just one that looks like it. Thanks, Phil (Jr Jetter)
Here is a pic from then.....

Thats my neighbor, Ritch. He just bought the boat about 6 mo ago. The owner before said its been sitting for a bout 7 years. Ritch got it and has put a lot of work into it.
The pump is not locked stright anymore. This ride plate dose move with the diverter. The pump also turns with the rudders.
Its his first boat. I think be bit off a little more than he could chew. He is excited about it though. The thing is definatly old school.

Vic , We did very well untill the pump went south. It was a blast to drive to say the least. I think we had like 18 laps or so.

Thanks guys, I knew that had to be his boat !!!
Dan, pm me and give a way to contact your neighbor so I can talk to him about the boat. I had talked to the guy who owned it a couple years ago after it sat for years. Unfortunately, he thought he had a sucker with too much sentimental value, and gave me a price of which I had to laugh at.
Yes, its very old school !! Was rigged for marathon racing, rough water, etc.. My father and Jack sure did a one off design on that thing, just trying to make it turn....LOL. Yes, it will turn on a dime, and a flat turn at that !!
Of all the boats he had and raced roundy round over the years, this is the only one I have able to locate that was still around. Same with Jack, only has his last Liberty left, of which I hope to own as well one day.
