well, i have a girl, now 18......she was the sweetiest little thing in the world...well something went wrong...she starting haning around this one gay boy much older...i tryed to keep her away, but she lied and found ways to see him....i worked nights so it was hard...then she started ditching school, shop lifting, fighting..this kid brain washed her....long story, i payed thousands of dollars and sent her to boarding schools to try to get her to straiten out, but no luck...she now just got out of juvy....my hopes where that she would learn something some-how some way ...but nope she was back to doing drugs within 2 weeks.....all i ever did was give her love and totall support, but sometimes you just loose them!! its a heart breaker for me....i still pray she will see the light someday....shes is still young...from 14 to 18, my life was a living nightmare....i think she would of snaped out of it, but then she started doing drugs....now she is hooked on them....its so flipin sad...

Day job, talked more, direct her to different friends ant an earlier age....I realize that life is life but what if?You can't live your life on what ifs. My daughter started hanging around the wrong kids in 8th grade. She since has decided to NOT hang around those kids and I just keep her active in dance and things like that. She wants to start gymnastics in January so she can try out for cheerleader. She is making the right choices and I'm proud of her. I know that the more you restrict who their friends are the more they will rebel.......At some point, you have to let them make their own mistakes and hopefully they will learn from them. I'm just blessed to have good kids.

I know you can't live your life as "what if's" but "what if" can help you determine where you went wrong or atleast point out options? What if you didn't enroll her in gym and let her hang with the wrong crowd? So your saying you had no influence at all in her decision to hang with the wrong peeps? I think you did when you decided to put her in gymnastics to keep her busy. Even your smallest efforts will have an effect on your kid. Good job with your kids!
