Where is the motor in that thing? Looks like you sit in the engine compartment :rollside: . What drive does it have?

Back in 85 my buddy had Nordic build one with a 454 jet. It was a great boat. He had the full engine cover, mid-center helm with side and bow seating. I'd buy that boat today. I think it ended up in Tucson. (Blue and white). I wonder where it is for sure??

Yes i sit right next to that motor. its in a tight box. It has a small block chev 350 gettin about 300hp, on a Volvo 280 outdrive. The gellcoat still looks awsome. All of the others that i have seen were built like a whaler with a center helm design. I was told that the original owner worked at Nordic and had custom designed the interior.
The only thing i would do, if i kept it would be to redo the interior a bit in the back, put in a Bench (with driver in it) and a hatch. with that extra room in the engine compartment i would go thru hull exhaust and get more hp.
A friend also recomended that under that big front pad i could put in a couple of live wells and a seat pedistal. so i could leave the pad in for family ski and fun then take the pad off for an instant bass boat.
This would be a great project boat!!!
