Well sunday was alot of fun. One of the crew members got his boat running for the 3rd time this year. This time it didnt blow up;) He has been busting his a$$ and now its paying off;) Congrats jonathan;)

Thanks scott;) We all were just glad to see each other in the water that day. We had so much fun. The chic is "460 jus getn it's" girlfriends daughter and she was throwing a peace sign;)

Here is the rundown.......
me...
New motor,pump and boat. Killed a pump already this year, in fact I just had the boat fully disassembled the day before the last trip. I had to build and put a new pump in my boat on saturday. I finished it up on sunday morning with a hangover.Then tore a$$ to the lake;)
454 ways to go(brown kachina)......his first boat
He rigged this boat and it ran good the first time. Had a cracked block. he then used another block,rebuilt it, and that ran great for about 2 hours untill he scattered it. He just put the new motor in and now he is up and running good and better than ever. He just needs to finish his seats so he can take the ORANGE ones out;)
460 jus getn it(white kachina).....his first boat!
we built his ford this year and he has been running the schit out of it all year long since march despite the massive oil leak;) His pump is almost dead but the boat is still TURNKEY;)
last but not least the white taylor
he traded one of our fellow board members that boat for a kachina. well....he just puts gas in it and turns the key. He runs pedal to the wood all day long with low oil pressure in his 455 olds.

sh!t we are going to be boating in november....well atleast I am. I didnt bust my azz and go broke for nothing. I need to learn my hull and get a good feeling on how she reacts. It changes when my speeds go up. It doesnt handle bad at all just gets ugly in rough water! I may be thinking about entering river racer class next year;) who knows. I still have to cut my impeller down a lil more and add an inducer;) I wonder how she is going to run when I set the pump back,shoe,and rideplate oh and flow the bowl;)

I have been following your progress - thanks to ***boat. I think we had a lot of the same problems/success'. I have to set up the floats on my carb's on Friday - flooding. Oh, and my boat is a V-drive...hope that's cool.

Place diverter or jet-o-vator all the way up and nail the throttle from a dead stop;) I dont know how much hp you need to do it though. The main thing is to let her settle back down slowly! ;)

That taylor runs damn well. I think that its a clean ride. I think the oil sender is faulty but its all good. Its turnkey and runs good. Are you going to be out there this weekend???? You should roll out;)
Oh and by the way, my "china" kicks my ass as well :messedup: :messedup: but I still love it;)
