How big of a boat?
it's a SPectra20 V-drive; so I guess it's about 24 feet on the trailer.

Ok I am going to tell you about a little secret, that not a whole lot of people know about, right past the casino on your left, it is called Badenochs boat storage, I have a 21ft Schiada stored there and the lady hasn't raised her prices in 20yrs, it is real hard to get into not very many opening. I pay 60 dollars a month. I have never had my storage broken into, they do have dirt floors, I just got a piece of carpet and covered the floor, also they have power to each storage, (great for Battery Charger, or if you need to do a little work...Good Luck

And more coming. They just tore down the laundromat that was on Joshua across from the post office and are going to put in more storage buildings.
It seems that every vacant lot in this damn town is turning into storage.

Hard to believe unless they got the land way back for cheap....just seems with land prices in Parker these days, that the ROI for making your money back off of storage only is far off in years... They just had a double wide storage garage for sale at the storages behind the old Mott's for 190K....I could have a prime lot in Havi for a 190K....for 40K more...maybe a house and lot...., you can get the same storage setup as sold above in Havi for less then half the Parker price...60-80K...

In town raw land is fairly cheap, when compared to up-river prices. People are going the storage route because it's a low maintenance business, and storages are always in demand around here.
I wish they would go more residential. Rentals, apartments, moderate income homes, etc. There isn't enough in this area. :(
Although the housing shortage is doing wonders for my property value. :D

I'm not sure of the name but the one in Buckskin across from the camp ground used to be cheap. When I was a kid we used to store our boat there and never once had a problem

In town, is it cheap because it is Indian land?
If it is cheap, then you can make money long before the 99Yr lease is up....but not sure I want to deal with the Indians and their leases......

Not Indian land. The townsite was deeded to the railroad by the Feds in the 1800s before the Reservation was formed. The railroad, in turn sold lots according to the town master plan. When the Res was formalized in the '30s, any land privately held stayed that way and anything still in railroad trust was allotted to the tribe.
Things like the roads, alleys and streets in town are also Indian owned, but by treaty remain the town property, unless abandonded. Same with the property the Schools are on.
But all land within the city limits which was private before the Res, stays private, unless the Indians legitimately buy it.
Most of the private land is developed, in one way or another. Either businesses or homes. Most of the tribal land is vacant, and will never be sold, just leased in some cases. They are however, trying to acquire more. They recently bought the Kofa Inn Motel. Although that property was Indian owned before and leased to the previous owner, who owned the motel (business only).
It just pisses me off when good lots, which could be used for residential, thereby improving the looks of the town, are used for ugly metal storage buildings. The town won't do anything, like zoning them out, because they get sales tax off them, and the county gets higher property tax for commercial, so they continue to let them pop up on almost every corner.
My property is MINE free and clear, no Indian involvement (except maybe my wife, but that's another story).
