Goodtime$

sorry, a 21 daytona is a hard sale. Insurance wise, is the boat a pump boat? or outboard?
Insurance in the 24 tunnel is cheap, compared to other tunnels in the market. This boat comes with the 496ci mag motor=375 hp. Not the HO.
This boat was designed around the 496 model motors. Not 502ci motors. Thanks for your interest. Feel free to PM me for more details, pics etc
weather permitting, id like to be out on the lake this coming weekend to complete my demo obligations.

I like the style, just don't know anything about Orion.
Got anymore pics? I saw it at the boat show in LA but can't remember the inside. You able to cut a hole for a little 2-seat open bow?

Newcastle
10-18-2005, 03:28 PM
I liked it so much I got a couple shots of it...I'd just hate to settle for a 24 when I want at least 26...

Goodtime$
10-18-2005, 04:41 PM
If you want a 26, there is a great deal on a newer AO 26 HP500 vortech on the boards, definately worth a look. A couple 26 DCBs and Daytonas in the trader.
This boat has under 26hrs, demo hours. blueprinted bottom, 496mag bravo one. Gaffrig inside the boat with Dana hardwear outside, pop out cleats etc. Ready to roll to the launch ramp.
Insurance will be cheap depending on your previous driving record, i cant see it costing anymore than 1k a year due to the smaller mag motor.
Demo Priced at just under 49k. New boat build goes for 65k with the same motor/combo etc. Extreme Trailer, tons of storage in the boat.
Bow can be converted into a open bow cuddy and retain the ice chest recesses. Or a walkthrough open bow, depending on your preference.
pm me for more details etc, would like to have the boat on the lake next weekend for demo arrangements. Keep in touch, great pic too.

Why is the 21 a hard sale?
secondly, its a pump.
Let me know!

Goodtime$
10-18-2005, 05:08 PM
For a trade in, it would just get basic nada value. Pump 21s are rad boats, but the market for them is small, which is why it is a hard sale. No disrespect, sorry if you felt i was bashing your boat.
http://www2.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/214224_orion_interior.jpg
we changed the interior a bit, the kick panels by your feet have been removed to give you more foot space and easier access to the cuddy storage.
Mint condtion, tons of space inside. Deep seating is great for the long rides up the lake.
Stock power, reliable, fun, great fuel economy, open bow can be cut.

Newcastle
10-18-2005, 09:06 PM
I dig it. I'd definitely have you cut a hole for an open bow, but not a walk thru, just a cuddy. And how about on the passenger dash putting a locking glove box or something, unless there's a locking compartment somewhere else on the boat. How much for the cuddy/open bow to be installed if I bought it?
...and you can keep the CL's, replace them with BL's pleez. What size gas tanks?

Goodtime$
10-18-2005, 10:05 PM
it takes up to 80 gallons of go go juice. The nice part with the Mag Motor is that you can go all weekend on fuel, even running hard around the lake.
Open bow cost? come down and ill get you the best i can. Usually its pretty standard, open bow, 4 cupholders, 2 speaker pockets and passenger grab handles. We will work out something that is mutually agreeable.
This boat is a demo, it has low low hours, hence the price of almost 20k off base retail. Ill get some more pics of the boat, yes a glovebox is not out of the question, i believe there is a lockbox in the boat. Ill go up to the shop and get a list of everything, newer pics of the interior/bottom and the price sheet for an open bow. Along with Insurance quotes from our guy.
Thanks again and please contact me asap, I am taking the boat out this coming weekend to a couple future customers. Thanks
Todd

Right on...my work schedule won't allow me to get out anytime in the next week to see it. I'd be interested to see the cooler area between the two front seats as well as the pics you're gonna get.
As soon as you get a price for the open bow option (which I remember was 'little to no cost') I might be able to make some time to see it next week.
What type of sound system does it have? I see where the head unit goes. Have anything installed yet?
Thanks, Nate

Goodtime$
10-19-2005, 12:11 PM
I believe its a pioneer head unit with speakers. Tons of room
to add subs/amps etc.
Ill get the price of the open bow conversion, and than its up to you.
Thanks

Some doods took the boat out when it first popped out, than we got it back did some changes. Than i finally sat in the boat and ran it hard around the bay along with Martin and Chuck and we found some things in the bottom that needed some more change. Change is a good thing, i can confidently say that the boat is a totally different ride from the first time out. I would hope so with all the changes. The boat has been to Elsinore, Mission Bay, San Diego Bay and Havasu a few times. So it has scene its paces, testing wise. I am stoked that we tested so much and got the boat to a point of confidence. Running in salt water and fresh water has a distinct different feel and its great to get both points of reference.
Dicudo..its raining at the beach right now, but if it clears up and John takes you out on his 27, cool. Ill see what we can swing to meet up down in the bay. If not we are running a 27 in elsinore thurs to do some prop testing if you get bored and want to stick around.
Goodluck picking colors etc with your new boat, the new stuff they are putting down on the 27s are amazing. Just wait till you see, youll be stoked.

Todd, I'm thinking about using some similar graphics from what Martin had created on the Demo boat, changing the colors up a little. This is the idea I'm thinking. Doesn't blend as well as it would in person, this was my 1st time doing this stuff on the computer. Obviously the gray and other color would blend together gradually.

I just got an email from Martin the other day. Their shop is now in the same place as Genesis in Riverside. They are right around the corner from my office. I never saw this post before but had been talking to Martin over the summer about a new 24' (I think he said he is classing it a 25' now). I still havent bought anything myself yet and am hoping with housing slowing and interest rates climbing, I will actually be able to buy a boat after the first of the year for an affordable price.

Yah, our site is still not done. It will be up as soon as possible.
The new shop is the old Genesis Factory off mulberry in Riverside.
We are still building Orion Tunnels and the new Deckboat along with the lightning hulls.
The best time to build a boat is now, most builders will cut you a killer deal for winter builds along with letting us use the boat on the LA show floor.
PM me for more details.

Thanks guys
Todd
Hows business been going for you?? Have you made any updates to the boat?? Any new pics of some of the newer work being done?

I just got an email from Martin the other day. Their shop is now in the same place as Genesis in Riverside. They are right around the corner from my office. I never saw this post before but had been talking to Martin over the summer about a new 24' (I think he said he is classing it a 25' now). I still havent bought anything myself yet and am hoping with housing slowing and interest rates climbing, I will actually be able to buy a boat after the first of the year for an affordable price.
Did the boat grow 12" ? Now I am curious what the actual length is.

I believe the actual length was 24 1/2 ft.

I love the boat. We have been really pleased with the results. It runs fast with the 496 mag at 67 mph top speed, but cruises at 60-62. It feels really solid in rough water, and turns with ease. I am going to build the motor up this off season with the Raylar kit, but that was planned before we bought the boat. The interior is really comfortable and user friendly. Martin is a great guy that will bend over backward for you and your requests. After all you buy the company not the boat. All in all I could not be happier. We will be in Havi this weekend so if anyone sees us come say " Whats Up".

Could you post pix of yours? I just bought a new boat but I think in the next yr or so I will be buying a tunnel. I want one around the 23-25foot mark. I love the look of the Orion.
