WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) - Say goodbye to those naughty thong bikinis, guys.
Say hello to crack.
By this time next year, "fanny floss" will be as antiquated as platform shoes. In its place will be the latest bikini craze to sweep the nation: swimsuit bottoms that expose the so-called "plumber's butt crack" of American females.
"We believe the thong phenomenon has run its course," says New York fashion industry spokesperson Lisa Beattie. "The thong exposes too much of the derriere -- and people are tired of it."
Conversely, the low-slung "crong," which displays 1 to 2 inches of butt cleavage, is at once less and more risque. "It's something people aren't used to seeing, and the public is always on the lookout for something new," Beattie says.
The new suits are expected to start hitting retail outlets as early as February 2006, according to reports.

I doubt the thong will ever fade away...the women don't want those tan line's and with them being secure with there bodie's and wanting to be as nude as possible...that's as close as it can get. :D
Just so we can get a better look of what the future as in store for us....how about blowing up the pic... :D

I can remember when the law prohibited topless dancers from showing the top of the crack. G strings had to cover the top portion of the buttocks to prevent showing the "crack". Now it is legal to show the same portion of a females body in public???........IMO, both styles are cool, the more shown, the better............MP
