I have a chance to buy a set of Aluminum heads. This is kinda screwey. The heads don't match. They are the same cc 118. Casting #s are 14011077 and 3946074. The differece is in the exhaust port. One is a C port and the other is a regular port.
First are these heads any good? I will be putting them on a 427. Next what are they worth? They have about 6 helicoils. Stainless valves.
Will these be a good combo on a 427?

i wouldn't buy them because by the time you paid someone to match the exhaust ports do a valve job resurface the heads check to se if the heads have been surfaced the same and so on you could buy a set of edebrock rpm marine heads add the right valve springs. {maybe for less) unless they are going to give them to you for free. just my opinion.

As any Super Stock racer will tell you, the only reason for using stock type aluminum heads is to reduce the weight. Good Chevy cast iron heads will make more power.

Dan , call Joe Kettler @ 1-254-582-3101 . He is hooking me up with a set of New ProTopline 360 runner Heads w/all the good name stuff for $ 1800.00 . He has access to all name brands , some ready to run for $ 1500.00 a pair and he may also have a used set around ??? I think by the time you have those ported to match it may cost 1/2 what a new set will be ??
