Communications at Lake James

Does anybody have those little FRS (Family Radio Service) handheld radios to bring? If anybody has them and wants to use them, lets plan in advance what channel etc. to use. Chances are they could be handy out there, since cellular service is spotty at times up there. My Nextel worked in only a few spots.

I Have Been To James Several Times This Year -- Verison Works Great Up There No Problems On Any Part Of The Lake -- Not Sure About Nextel Or Other Services. Radios Are A Great Idea
