I'm pulling the 455 Olds motor that is in my jet boat and am installing a 502 crate motor. I need everything to make the switch. Anyone got the parts? I'll also be selling a brand new set of Bassett twisties for the 455 as well as all the engine mounts, bell housing etc.

Cyclone I think HBjet still has his old motor plates and feet that he will sell you pretty cheap other than that I would buy the rest of the parts (driveline and hub) from Rex or Eddie.

thanks for the info Hustler. I'm still trying to decide whether or not to install a rail kit.

After I posted this I saw the post that either hack job or flat broke offered to make you one. I would go that route

Mike, Congrat's on the sale!! How much of that $$$$ is going to make it into the Bonneville? :D
As good as that boat was and as much work as you put into it, I hope you got a good price! I'm pretty sure the new owner will be happy w/ it!

all of the proceeds went into the bonneville as well as the carbs, electric fuel pump, linkage, carb adapters and scoop. I need a new distributor and then i'll run the bonneville again. How is your boat doing? I still want to see it run.

It's sittin on the trailer. I do want to put it in the water but I have some other pressing engagements I need to take care of (such as finding a new job)..... When I've got that all sorted out then I can start the trips again along w/ some (more) new parts for the boat!
Looking forward to river trips w/ you all in the future! :D :D Mike

Cyclone,
Didn't you have custom valve covers on your 455?
If so, who made them and where???????

J, That's too true, I just hope my next excuse is not......I gotta work this weekend.
I'll see if I can move some $ around and sell some old parts (that most people don't need) on ebay. Late.....Bzzzzzzzzzz :D

leather. ya there were fabricated aluminum valve covers. They were built by a guy that used to post here, his handle was Plasticman. I dont have his number and haven't seen him around in awhile. If you want a set of them, i would do a search for his name and pull up his email address to see if its still current.
