I have a set of 1.88/2.19 w/ 3/8 stem, standard length stainless valves with only 20 minutes on them. I also have comp springs #911-16 with the matching 20 minutes. Lifter alignment incorrect, ate the cam. Comp recomended switching to a roller set up which required new springs and +.100 longer stems. But they were happy to refund my $100 for the cam and $50 for the lifters.
Valves - $125+ shipping
Springs - $75 + shipping
I'm just trying to get some of my money back. I know there are many motors to be built over the winter, these are good parts, save some money and get them out of my shop!!
The rotators and retainers are not new but still good.
Thanks

Lifter alignment? How about bad products? Boy, those Comp boys have problems with their stuff! Glad they admitted they at least oue you something. I could use the springs and retainers, but why rotators? I will have to check the book. Funny, they upgraded you to a roller!! Wow

I did not run the rotators, I just thought I'd throw them in (or its in the garbarge can for them) they were on the heads(stock). Let me know if you want the springs. The retainers are stock style, not comp products, just to clarify.
Thanks,

Hate to rain on anyones parade, but Comp makes the highest ramp rate cams, their extreme energy line and even some Magnum cams have a greater area under the curve than most other companies rollers. Lifterbore alignment is a problem with certain years of BBChevys, SBChevys, and BBFords, and to a lesser degree some others. If the lifterbores are not perpendicular to the cam, lifter rotation is not as positive as required, and the cam WILL go flat almost immediatly. Put in a roller, have the lifterbores sleeved, or buy a slower ramp-rate cam from a lesser company and be satisfied going slower, those are your only options, or buy another block and hope for the best. Having a CAM DR, I have analyzed hundreds of cams. This is the truth. Guggy's boat is brown, its likely part of the problem. TIMINATOR
