Man I'm really liking this new Extreme Boats channel on Dish network! Got me wondering who on this forum is a pro racer. I saw Tony Scarlata, who I recognized, but wondering who else is on here?
How about posting your name or boat name so we can root for the winner?
That twin prop boat driven by Tedesco really launches HARD! :supp:

It's on 216 up here in OR.
Last night they had the fastest v-hull shootout between Outerlimits and Fountain. OL had a prob. but Fountain was in the 170's with 180's soon to fall. That is some fast ass v-hull!

I should clarify, it's called the "water channel"? But couple hours of cool boat stufff every night. Also saw poker run highlights from around the country, etc.
Not the usual crap coverage for 2 minutes at the end of a race either. Red Bluff drags coverage lasted 1 hr. I think.

There are a lot of racers here ... I race, but wouldn't say I'm a "pro" ...

I got 235 bucks for winning blown gas flat back in 1996. I would think that the pay out in 2,006 should be at least 2k. lol

:notam: OK ...yeah it was a spelling eror. POOR not PRO. I had no idea the payout was so low. Maybe this new coverage on tv will generate some more interest. I wonder what the purses are for car pro stock and top fuel drag racing? I would rather watch the boat racing than the cars.

Speeds have really come up in recent years, I think that "Loose Cannon" top fuel boat will be posting some crazy numbers soon. I was surprised to see alcohol over 200mph.
So far all of the shows are from 2002 :idea: So I dought the coverage is going to do any help other than to feed all of our habits :D

Ya know, I think it's cool that he's doing that. But every time he posts a link or you view them on his site the resoultion is so low I can't stand it. So needless to say I have yet to watch one of his short clips all the way to the end. So with that in mind and knowing how cheep some bandwith is I'm sticking with Jerry Griffin for my roundy round fix. Maybe it's just me but I've viewed them on different puters too. That American Hot Boat guy posts in quicktime format too. His are the same way. Give me mpg's that I can see and I'll by every movie ya make.

HP350SC ... there are a ton of racers posting here ... IHBA, SDBA, NJBA, CDBA ... past and present ... the payouts are best in IHBA ... however, the Bricktown Nationals and Smokin' in the Cove have the largest.
Drag Boat Review lists all of the purses and payouts for each race ...

In TAF we won $4600 for winning Marble Falls. Not exactly a Winfall but it helped pay for the trip.
