I need alot of help today. I need to order carbs for my brothers 427 Ford. I need the Holley part numbers for them. I beleive they are a 660 carb with the vacuum secondary's. They also have the float bowl tubes that run between the bowls. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Art, I googled the carb deal and it seems that the 660 was the popular choice. 0-4224 part number. If you know the 600 is a better dealio them tell me...I'm all ears for your info. What in the Wide World of Sports am I going to do for carb linkage??? My brother is leaning on my for all the answers and I'm feelig the pressure...

I was trying to help you figure out what to order. Sorry mine aren't for sale, they go to my cobra motor (a 427 with the wrong heads  ).

Mike, the 4224 is a center squirter and is a universal tunnelram carb, the factory Low Riser had two 600(Ford rated at 652) carbs with vacuum secondaries connected with a balance hose. I do believe the Hig Riser and Tunnelport's came 715's!..But the replacement for the 600's are the 1850's, and the vacuum secondary caps are available to connect them together!..
BTW, I can give you Ford part numbers right out of my original Ford factory muscle books!..
You might give Ron Miller a call for linkage!.. (714) 523-7900

You guys are the greatest. This is a high riser 427. The tunnel port is my other brother Pat. Anyway Art, I don't think I need the part numbers if the 1850's are the deal. I will call Ron about linkage...

Unless it's a full on race deal you don't need double pumpers, 1200 cfm is plenty adequate and it won't suck up the gas!.. The 1850's are ideal!..

I run 1850's on my 514.A set of 750's.They are proform main bodies with Quick Fuel Tehcnology billet throtle bodies and metering blocks. With spring changes in the vacume diaphrams I can set it up to almost act like a set of mechanical secondary carbs but save fuel when skiing and pulling tubes.I put my own balance tube in by using #4 braided lines and fittings.Looks much better than ruber hose.

Here's an outfit that can set you up with all the linkage, carbs, fuel log, etc. for the 2x4 stuff, I have been buying from Carl for my Ford 2x4 stuff, he's knowledgable and great to deal with.

This guy offers the best fricken deals on factory remanufactured Holley carbs that I have ever seen. Not ultra-trick carbs but rather stock remanufacutred carbs that are done up to spec's tighter than Holley themselves. I don't know how he does it, but he IS in Colorodo where Holley used to be before they moved to Tennessee, and so I speculate that he bought a few shipping containers full of carbs from Holley that needed to be gone through just before they moved.
He is NOT a fly-by-night ebay deal; he is there all the time and has great feedback. I have suggested to many people on the forum that they purchase from him and all that I know are very happy. Definitely the best bang-for-buck deal out there.
Holley 660's sell new through Summit or Jegs for like $489 Each plus shipping, but he recently listed a remanufactured (good as new) pair for just $485 on ebay.
Do you want a pair of remanufactured ACTUAL Ford 427 600 cfm carbs for a mere $300? Click Here. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-427-2X4-600-CFM-HOLLEY-CARBS-REBUILT_W0QQitemZ8005918349QQcategoryZ33550QQrdZ1Q QcmdZViewItem)
If anyone is looking for bolt on stock carbs and don't see them in his listing, just send him a message and inquire...he has listed probably only 10% of his inventory that is ready to go!
His name is Lyle Stahl and he is a straight shooter. Tell him Paul Kane sent you.

Lyle Stahl hooked me up on a GREAT deal. I turned in two torn apart carbs (600cfm out of a Ford Van and a 660 center spuirter off a BBC) both of them might have been missing pieces, I dont know. They were in a box torn apart. He took both of those in and gave me a silver rebuilt 750 holley, he even upped the jets for my av-gas application. Good deal, great carb. It made a world of difference and stayed in tune for years.

Paul, that's a great deal on those but they are 1850's not "genuine" Ford carbs, the real stuff is 2804-Primary and 2805-Secondary and they have the secondary diaphram covers with the balance tubes, the 1850's don't have that!.. Just to let ya know!.. :D

Go to one of his Ebay listings and select "Contact Member," Or "Ask Seller A Question." He has lot's of carbs models available, more than he lists at any one time.
I got some very rare 850 Center Squirters from him (List #4223) and they arrived adequately packaged and imaculate on the inside:

Note the spic & span internals and also the nicely machined main body.

Lakes, Those carbs will work fine on the Ford. I think Art is just saying they are not OEM. Nice stuff it looks like. I emailed him through ebay and I'm sure he will respond. Was just wanting to know if he has something for the Tunnel Port and we will take the TP carbs off and put them back on the High Riser. Thanks for all your great help everybody. Yer welcome, I managed to type "DCS" instead of "DSC". Oh well... :D
Didn't realize you were a fellow forum nitwit... :rollside:
It was kinda neat getting all those parts from you still in the old Motorcraft plastic bags. I chromed the fuel rail and had a resto done on the carbs. It's fun to show people the Ford part number on the intake manifold and tell 'em there are Ford PN's stamped on the Holleys.
Same engine you could get in a '64 Galaxie.
