Oh yeah. Nothing like going back & fixing someone else's half-ass repair work. Hope it don't give ya too much trouble.

Loctite makes a solvent that dissoves that stuff, or at least they used to. Of course I don't remember what it's called though. But if you are in a hurry, power tools, fire, and large hammers are the way to go. :)

Sometimes a little heat from a propane torch will work too.
As I'm sure you know, that's gonna be real tough drilling those screws for and ezout or just plain drilling em out. Stainless is way harder than aluminum and that drill's gonna wanna walk over to the aluminum for sure (unless you're dead center with the drill when you start).

Gonna agree with Squirt here. A little bit of heat from a propane torch works wonders. Found that out once when somebody before me when Loctite crazy. Couldnt get anything loose and then out of hate poured some heat to it. Was like butter after that. Go figure. Good luck

They Probably used it at the factory where the pump was made.
I bought a new American turbine pump for my boat and had to take it all apart to have it powdercoated because it only came in white.

Looks like you have been very busy 396.
Looks very nice though
Thanks for all the information on the pump install.
Gotta get out of here this morning to go make some money to keep the ball rolling if you know what I mean.
Off to work for the 40 dollar an hour side job.

If you haven't gotten it fixed by now, just put some spinner hubcaps on your boat trailer. That will take your mind off the whole deal.... :rollside:
