View Full Version : Bimini top for 22 Daytona?

Anybody ever put a bimini top on a Daytona? I have a 2000 22 and just cant decide if I want to or not? Any pics out there??

We have one on our 25. I was looking for a pic with it up but couldn't find one. Here is ours

I have 1994 21 Daytona and bought a top from Overtons. It came from the factory very tall, So I cut the long post down about 8" which lowered the top about 6". Looks real good. I'll try to get some pictures next week.

We purchased a 1995 22 Daytona which had no bimini. We opted for the anchor shade, which is basically a large square umbrilla with straps in the corner to secure. It works pretty well and only weighs a few pounds. Can only be used when stopped. Purchased from Boaters World for under $200.00. We boat mostly in northern California where temperaturs are lower that the desert. I never liked the look of most biminis and and usually just get in the way when down. Juist my $.02.

Yeh I have a anchorshade and its ok but I was lookin for something to run with it up. Or.... where can we get some spf-2000 sunblock? :rolleyes:

Here is a pic of my 21 with a top. It works good, even though it did come down once at near 65 or 70 mph, so I won't go over 50 with it anymore.

Do you know who made yours?? Is it tall enough to stand under?? I have a canvas guy who will make me one using stainless tubing and sunbrella canvas any color i want but now I dont know how high to make it???
