It's 3:40 Saturday, Fleetimus just called with the conditions at CFW. He said the sun is out (temps is the mid 50s), not raining, the water is calm and there's plenty of it at the ramp. :D

Where is the location for the June CFW? I'd like to make a trip down to one of these events. Where abouts on Lake Shasta is it?

CFW isn't on Shasta. It's maybe 30 miles north of Sacramento, a few miles off Highway 65. Punch Wheatland, Ca. into Yahoo maps and you'll see it to the east of Wheatland.

Sorry, this is what I was looking at Future Events on LBBA.
June
Father's Day - Camp Far West
6/23-26 - Shasta
So was this from 2005. Which of the events that is furthest North?

I think I updated the calendar but I better double check.
The Camp Far West deal is on Father's Day which is an anuual get together. It's not a LBBA deal and I doubt anyone really puts it on, it's just been happening for quite a few years. Lots and lots of really nice boats!
Shasta is June 23-26 this coming year. You can find all the info about it here
Shasta - June 23-26, 2006 (http://p210.ezboard.com/fclassic***boatsfrm52) It would be great to meet up with some more of our northern jetters!

If you can make it, get in contact with Mr Squirt or AaronE via the LBBA message board so you guys can hook up to caravan down. Mr Squirt is in Portland and AaronE is in Everett, WA. We're not sure Aaron will make it as his job has changed quite a bit.....lots of traveling.
There's a couple of others from WA that are thinking about making the trip also.

oh yea, once you boat on Shasta, you'll want to come down at least once a year. It's well worth the trip :)

I mapquested it from my house. 8 hours doesn't seem bad. Now I just have to convince my other half.

Dang! I'd like to come down for this, but it's one of my oldest buddies B-day on the 24th. I dissed him last year for Moses Lake and don't want to do it to him two years in a row. :)

I agree! What better birthday gift can there be than a weekend on Shasta lake?! Just think, we could all chip in and give birthday boy a drink or 2. Come to think of it, I'll make up another batch of apple pie and we'll all have some fun watching him stumble around :D

Hmmm, that's an idea. Not sure if it would fit into everyone's schedule though.

I talked to my wife about it. The good news is shes not against it. Only 8 hours 500 miles isn't bad. Hell I went to school in Bozeman Mt. Thats 11 hours from here to there. I'm fired up. Malcolm lets hit it.

Cas

I wish I could answer that but I have no idea William.
You about ready to get a lake boat so you can come out and boat with us?

Cas,
Is there an official Northern contingent of LBBA? If not there should be... (hint, hint), maybe a modified Tshirt, you know,. add an umbrella or something.
We are looking forward to Shasta, just hope we can get a spot for the trailer. If anyone know someone who can't make it PLEASE let me know before they cancel their reservation so I can assume it from them. Needs to be off the original loop, as the old spots aren't big enough for the portable house I tow.

let me rephrase, a lake boat that can run on gasoline for a few hours :)
Tahiti,
As Malcolm said, there was an outing at Coeur d' Alene but that was it. The person that was going to get it all going up there had another addition to their family and he got real busy with work. Because of all that he just couldn't get the time to continue it on. Wanna get it going again? an umbrella huh? should there be a rain cloud above also? :D

So, 11:00 must be the magic time when they are by the phone, huh? I'll tell the wife to call around then. I hate phone tag. :argue:

Why do you want to go there on Father's Day, don't you know that is the day when the big dollar boats go out, you will just be in the way and give others excuses for not running.
