very cool. i like the backwards windshield actually. classic look. leave it and before you know it they will all want em again. the windshieldless fad will die just like the tribal flames. as far as the other boat, LETS GO ATTACK SOME FISH. :shift:

Not that there is anything wrong with it, but IMO, it looks like a huge aerodynamic brake.

Adds downforce to the bow, keeps ya from blowing over. :D
Most the larger daycruisers in the late 70's & early 80's that had windshields ran them backwards.

WHATS WRONG WITH 60 MPH JET BOAT??? (just kidding!!)
It's just what I wanted, a classic looking daycruiser for the family. If I want to go faster I'll get a ride with someone else. :D

If you look to the left side of the pic you 'll see an electric reel that's slightly larger. (we're fishing in about 600 feet of water) It doesn't make it any easier to pull up, just cranks the handle for you.

The windshield is a classic '70's Venturi style windshield.
You can still aquire them at:

Average cost for replacement: $450.00

How is your grass coming in? You should be mowing.

Kinda like watching paint dry. It's 2-3 inches now they told me to mow at 4. The topsoil is so soft and wet right now I don't dare walk on it!!

The worst thing you could do is "rut it up". They never go away. If your soil is that mushey, you have to much organic/silt in the soil. Doesn't drain well.

It might not be as bad as I think it is but I think we had at least a couple of inches of rain yesterday. I know it doesn't drain as well as the raw dirt did, turned part of the yard into a lake for awhile. At least it didn't ruin anything.

Thats what this is (or at least what it was advertised as) the title says 1978 20', (kinda confused about that). As far as loving the boat, this is my first jet boat also and I couldn't be happier with it. WELL after I fix the starter, steering, controls, water leak, battery system, etc. Guess it goes with a new (old) boat.
