My cousin has a Holley carb with a list number of 7053. It's probably an original Ford carb. Can anyone tell me what cfm etc.?

He also has a 302 Ford that seems to have intermittant oil pressure. The oil level is full. The engine will have oil pressure for a while and then the guage will show no pres and the lifters etc will start ticking. Any ideas? I don't know what a Ford oil pump is like, could it be the pump?

Holley lists that part number (0-7053-1) as a street-legal 600CFM carb (model 4160- vacume secondaries).

It's possible you are pumping the oil out of the pan and up into the valve cover area. When the oil pressure starts to drop-shut down the engine and check the dip stick. If it is very low check under the valve cover by looking through the the breather cap. If this is happening you have to clean out the drain holes from the heads down to the pan.
