Todd, you can't get straight shots because no one is allowed in that section of the lake/race course incase a boat doesn't shut off, it can run up on the beach. Seen it more times then 1 too.

Thanks for the props Squirtcha. I fabbed and rigged the entire boat myself last winter season except for a little help from MPD with a new rideplate setup. I had my hands full of it for about 7 months. It took alot of time and patients but it's all done right. Now what am I gonna do this winter???

Thanks for the props Squirtcha. I fabbed and rigged the entire boat myself last winter season except for a little help from MPD with a new rideplate setup. RCB,
Ahhh Topoc Bridge reminds me of diving in the water and cooling off before we go into the bar and blow our heads off on a saturday afternoon. Can't wait till spring, doing some hop ups this winter to make the old CP a little more responsive.

I did change the flat stainless spacer at the end of the steering arm that you see in the pictures because someone on the board had questioned it. I think the person felt that the spacer might flip 180 degrees and lock up the steering. I've never had anything like that happen and don't really think that it would, the picture may be a little deceiving because the spacer is longer than it is tall. So, just for shits and giggles, I made a straight spacer and then shimmed up the end where the vertical bolt goes through, so that the steering rod and spacer were in line. Now for some reason it is noticably harder to steer.

..hey unchained......u got to gove some stats on that red turbo boat......dam never saw a setup like that pipes going all over the place.........
Thanks ol,
The nature of turbos is that there has to be a lot more plumbing to get the air flow that feeds the engine to and from the compressor. The turbine is what drives the compressor and the weight of the turbocharger is entirely supported by the exhaust header. All 50# of it. My stainless header design proved to be real strong and after three seasons the header still fits the jig it was fabbed from.

If you break it down to the individual pipes you can see that the air that comes from the scoop is piped into the center of the compressors.
From the compressors the air goes to a couple throttle bodies that are mounted on the sides of the intercooler box.
At WOT the air going through the throttle bodies is coming at real high velocity and having the flow aimed directly at the opposite side slows down the velocity before it goes through the intercooler core.
Some people ask me about the tube from the compressors, why one goes up and one aims down.
The turbos are all the same hand so one is flipped 180 degrees / upside down from the other. The compressors and turbine housings can all be clocked around for what ever position needed so that the oil lines can have the pressure line coming in the top and the drain out the bottom.
The intercooler box is mounted on top of a regular single four barrel intake manifold that mounted a Dominator carb in it's previous life. I got the manifold used from BadBug a few years ago.
The whole system of air flow on the compressor side is dry, the fuel is injected right near where the manifold flange meets the head, about five inches from the valve. This makes a huge advantage in that the fuel is not prone to settling out like traveling through long manifold runners. Makes for great throttle response, starting and idling.
Here's a pic that shows the fuel injectors and fuel rails.

Your boat is a real nice piece and definately cool and would be different but everywhere you look nowadays you see an Iron Cross popularized by Jesse James, RBS and others. Back in the day, I associated the Iron Cross to Schneider Cams.
