I have the luck where, when I buy the DVD it ends up on TV and they play it over and over.
I've always wanted to see Das Boot for instance.......never saw it.........bought the dam thing and there's like 2 versions on all the time now with the 1st cut and directors cut, etc.
This happened with a bunch of others I've bought. :D

Get Netflix....You can get what you want....watch it, and if you really like it buy it.....or better yet, get a dvd to dvd burner, get netflix, get the movie and burn it, then send the original back...(Not that I would ever do that)...:) ;)

I had Netflix and switched to Blockbuster Online, I like BBOnline cause they send you 2 free game rentals per month along with 1 free dvd per month. :) My son uses the coupons to rent games.
BTW: The movies from there have been sitting on my entertainment center for about 3 months, with dust on them.

I love buying DVD's, but I don't go crazy. I like the quality, never having to rewind when I'm finished... and the special features. Oh, and I make sure all my DVD's are widescreen or have the option. I hate full screen.

Another thing about quality............we use the component cables hook up.....MAJOR difference than the A/V or S-video deals. If your tv has them, use them. The Monster component cables are pricey but worth evey penny.

Yeah, guilty.............shoot, I even forget that we have them most times........one day I may go out and buy a movie I already have. :D

How much is BB? does it work the same way....don't have to go to the local store....all by mail? That sounds like a pretty good deal. Is that one free montly DVD rental or DVD to keep?

It is actually less than Netflix, I think I pay $14. Yes, it does work exactly the same, but it does seem like BB takes a little longer to get to you than Netflix, but other than that the same.
You get to keep the DVD, they also send you coupons like "Buy One Previously Viewed DVD at $9.99 and get one free". You go in the store only to use the coupons for the free game rentals or free (to keep) dvds.

If you buy at Costco or Walmart, the "R" rated ones are edited.... :220v:
