just found out that I need a new trans from the ford dealer. I took my F250 into the dealer becuase of some shifting probs and found out that there was burnt fluid and metal shavings thoughout the trans.
Any one out there know one one out there that can get a good price?

I thought the Super Crew was a 150 ???
Do you mean a F250 Super Cab ???
Not that it really matters, the v10 was only in they heavy trucks.
New F150s have a 9900lbs load rating, some older F350s didn't have that much.

I'm sure that is what he meant since they don't have a 6.8 in F150's.

There is a trick to making the trans live. Get your pressure up !!! Transgo make a 3 stage shift improver kit, I run a stage 2 kit, instant solid shifts !!!

RB your cost with my discount would be $1626.00 +850 core which would be reimburssed. You would also have to replace the cooler, purchase through the dealer or I can see what I get them for. 3yr 75,000 mile wty...parts and labor $50.00 an hour...
lewiville your cost would be $1455.00 + 800 core. same warranty and cooler deal.
I can try to avoid tax...but I would have to talk to my manager on that one....if not add the 7.75%.
We do pay for all the shipping both ways.

My '01 lost second gear at 110K and I had Corona Trans rebuild it for $2280 labor & materials. They put a better second gear clutch in it and had it done in three days. Ford rebuilds are better IMHO because if it fails any dealer will back it up. Good luck.

From some of the othe HB'ers here that is a great deal.. On top of that I have to replace the upper, lower, inner, otter tie rod's. I have a driver door switch needs replacement, 100k mile service. new serpinteen belt.

Have one build by SunCoast. http://www.suncoastconverters.com/flist9903.html#
Had one put in my 01 Powerstroke and I love it. It shifts smooth with no lag time. Great for pulling boats.

Thanks RRMIKE
I just wanted something simple and could make it happen. So far the best thing I did was this year when the flash flood happened in Vedal Junction I crossed a 5' dip full of rushing water.....that was cool, everyone was waiting to cross and I took a chance and made it.
