I really like the twin supercharged marine motor =) but some how I think I could buy 2 of those big cid small block world motors and still have money lets over.... I see they also have '02 indy V-8s that they redid for street use. 3.5L 340lbs and 560 hp @ 8k. One of those would be nice in a boat as well.

I would love to see headers for that beast.... 16 ports lol.

I dunno. only 412 ft-pounds of torque, and all the way up at 5,500 RPM, I don't think the IRL motors would boat very enjoyably. Cool factor would be high, but performance I think would be dissapointing, in a prop or a jet.

I have the original HotRod mag that has that Arias hemi on the cover. I remember being amazed at a Chevy Hemi. I think I was 10 or 11.

Such as??? Basically the fact that it's a 90 deg. v12. It took him a long time to quit breaking cranks...even cost a few lives, if I'm not mistaken. I've since heard that they've solved the problem, but that's what "they" say. Theyt're also too expensive. I know they were trying to get FAA cert on the engine, but I don't know if they were ever able to due to the reliability isssues.

I also heard that they were after FAA cert also, but gave it up... there is basically no market (in aircraft) for a piston powerplant like that, lots of money to invest for no sales potential.

Chevy Hemi?
Yeah, like in the pic. Arias makes that hemispherical head for BBC.

Well, yes and no, if I get what you are thinking. They are not MOPAR Hemi heads bolted onto a BBC. They are an aftermarket Hemi head for BBC. Hemi is just short for Hemispherical combustion chamber.
