SVHS or component cable hookup??

I'm hooking up my DVD to my Sony Big screen and the guy at Best Buy says use component cable, my Sony book says use the SVHS jacks for best results.
Both cable systems are a hundred bux,, whih is the way to go??

it will increase the resolution :cool: of the picture. from 325 to 525 lines

You won't notice a difference at standard definition but go with component.
