Has any one been there thinking of going with the family and taking the quads and the 4x4 is there trails out there or not

Not sure about how much riding there is around Salton Sea, but Ocotillo Wells is right there on the west side of the 86.

We grew up riding around the desert there. There are lots of washes and old trails to run around on. We always ran around Desert Shores and Salton City.

Thank you guys i think i'll go a check it out even if i sucks it's only one weekend plus i could just get drunk at the toy box drinking makes every thing better

We'll actually be out there this weekend but we aren't riding. We'll be doing plenty of drinking though. :D

Truck Haven is a really big place for people to take there jeeps and other toys, We ride out there often and ejoy it. Corva does a big event out there every year.

Head for the canals.... great riding on the levees and washes. Watch out for the ordinance on the Chocolate Mountain firing range, though. You can even water ski in the canal.......

We do their poker run every year. There are a lot of buggies and jeeps but we ride and its a good time.

That's where we filmed the explosion of the Miata/jetski when I was on Monster Garage. I remember that place stunk like hell and the water was real murky. I remember it being only about an hour or so to Glamis from there though.

The only thing that has changed is if you go from North Marina Dr. in Salton City, you can no longer camp off the pavement. We never camped up there anyway, but the big mohomes like it up there. You have to drive all the way down through the mud hills. They are getting ready to build up there on the road.
We will be there for Thanksgiving weekend.
