You can't beat Tucker, I have bought around 10 sets of wheels and tires from them. Talk to John or Brad if you looking for street stuff. Talk to Troy if you are looking for offroad stuff.

You can't beat Tucker for service, but you sure can on price. Get a quote from HTW in Upland 909 946 3338

I've heard Tucker Tire has really good prices, but I've never been there.
I like Grand Prix Wheels and Tires on Newport Blvd in Costa Mesa....the very best stuff, huge selection and great prices.

I've never found lower prices than Tucker, but I've only bought higher end stuff from him. If you get a price from him, he doesn't add all the extra BS charges to the purchase. His price is out-the-door.

Now that we're on the subject. I'm looking for some wheels for an '06 Tahoe. Clean, chrome, 22's hopefully. I was debating between 20's or 22's, but everyone I know says don't settle for 20's cuz you'll want 22's eventually.

If that's for me, I appreciate it. I have the stock wheels on the tahoe (which I don't think are bad, but the g/f wants the 22's of course). Guess now I gotta save for some wheels.

Chrome just depends on the wheel.. KMC used to have a horrible reputation for paper thin chrome. Most of the chrome wheels out now hold up pretty good.
Myself i prefer polished alumn on everything over chrome.

I agree 20's are just small on the newer body style trucks/suvs. 22's seem to fill everyting out alot better.

If you go with 22's, do you need to upgrade brakes because of the extra rotating mass?

I'm sure you probably could, and it might be safer for the towing days...but of the people I know, I've never heard of anybody doing it. I'm sure nowadays they can make 22's weigh the same as the old stock wheels.

No.
I'm not exactly sure when and where the "must upgrade brakes on big wheels" theroy came from but i've never noticed any loss of braking but i've never driven a truck with anything over a 26" wheel either.
There is much more rotating mass on a 4x4 rolling 36" and bigger tires then there is on a 26" wheel/tire and you don't typically see the 4x4 guys running out to upgrade.
big brakes look cool but i'm not sure there needed.
