I was just curious if the panther pump is any good? Mabey how it compares to the Berk. If there is many upgrades outhere for them, like different impellers, droops, that kind of stuff? Just curious.

They're an OK pump, but they have their problems. The biggest one is almost no accessories are made for them. They have a really tough B cut stainless impeller, but that's the only really strong part in 'em.
Someone on here claims they're going to start making "something" for them, but that remains to be seen.

You might want to check the Laidback Boaters (http://p210.ezboard.com/fclassic***boatsfrm21) board. Cas has had alot of contact with the guy who's making Panther pumps and has lots of info on them.

Pretty bullit proof as long as you don't go overboard on HP. I have one that got its first rebuild after 25 years. And it really was working just fine but the suction housing was almost see thru :rollside:
