I'm not sure these pictures would be the ones I'd pick to do the job. Although, if you're in the market for a jersey speed skiff, you already know what you're getting yourself into....

Is it me, or is this cracker box missing a prop shaft and screw to make it go.
So in Cracker Box racing, why is there a passenger? I haven't been able to figure this one out. I can remember when I was in pre-school going to these races with my parents at Marine Stadium in Southern Cal - long before there were noise ordinances and home owners that complained about the boat noises.

sgettmann,
this is a jersy speed skiff. Different animal than a cracker. There's a passenger in crackers because there's always been a riding mechanic in that class. I'm glad they don't change the rules, most fun class to watch by far. I think that crackers are the oldest competing class now in circle racing. Have to ask 'stab and steer' about that for sure, he drives one. I don't know how long skiffs have been racing. I think their history goes back to rum runners on the east coast.
