I am mad at my Bassets now...

Today I earned ( :D ) my fourth Basset arm burn....Moth#r F*&ker....gosh darn headers...I swore they were cooled down. :mad:

Yep, Basset tatoo's :D I have a few of my own. The bad thing is that I can look right at them, know they are hot, tell everyone they are hot and still burn myself. Its kinda like a bugzapper I guess, why dont we learn?. :confused: :D :mad:

So I guess we need to start shipping a box of telfa dressing and some burn ointment now with every set for those who fail to realize engine exhaust really is hot, even if the headers look "cool". :D
So Ty how'd they look before you burnt yourself on em? After burning your view is alway a little skewed on the cool factor for awhile. :D

Do those "jet hot" or whatever brand you are refering to, really prevent headers from getting hot enough to burn memories into skin? Or do they still burn, but not as bad? How about dry headers?

Hay you know you are a real jet boater. When you are marked for life. :mad: But if you dip your towel in the water. Then put it on the heaters a few times to cool them down some. Inorder to work on the engen or something. Mabie a person to tell you not to touch them. I have to tell Mr. alot of times not to touch. idea One time is enough for me to learn. Very nice rebuild there.
Little header story....Old friend of mine was standing up when his "buddy" decided to do a hole shot eek! he flew backwards landed butt cheeks first on top of the header and slid all the way off the end and into the water. The doctors said it was good he hit the water or he'd of been in much more pain than he was. Left a nasty burn but he got to wear short to work for a month :D
