Rattle Can Lou - Are you getting that rig setup for the Burly, ID GN races? If you need a blower, check with Kelly on the the ***boat classifieds. He's selling his 1500Hp Blown motor that is being used in his 21' Rayson. Looks like no transmission, being driven of the fly wheel. Looks like he may have some reversed props to sell too.
Are you blue printing the bottom to take out the hook? I'll look foward to seeing the paint job. Glad to see another hot boater in the north. Have to say, these long winter bite. I love cross country skiing and snow shoeing in the back country, so there is a season for everything.

OK, Let's try this again. This thing is getting the full Billy B. treatment. All White. No graphics. That is the way a boat should be painted. Total cost $350.00. I was able to score the white on a Krylon Klearance Sale at Home Depot. I figure for a nice three coat job I will need aprox. 24 cans. Than if I'm not happy with the finished product I will go ahead and clear coat. That would be an additional 50.00 application. I'll make sure and keep ya posted on the progress. Please understan that Billy has a little bit more overhead there in the big city. That's whay we are able to keep our prices in line.

Thanks Jerry. I just got off the phone with him. He had to stop every 2 minutes and have a drink of his cocktail. He also said that Bolt Nazi just made an attempt at driving a K-Boat. I still don't know if I'm doing this right. GFR may need to come to my rescue. Rayson was painted today and looks cool. I don't know where Billy B. is but since I started to show myself around the boards along with my handywork, he is nowhere to be found. Come out. come out wherever you are....RCL

It's great you guys are going to keep the boat period correct...Just don't let RCL get carried away with the paint. A cap and a dart are all that boat should have on it. Make sure the Rattle Master checks out the "Great Old Ads" thread b-4 he shoots the thing. I kinda like the way a few of those Stevens' were painted. A base color with matching deck and dart. Very simple, Very clean.

Here's a shot of a classic dart on a Hallett and then a couple from the Stevens brochure. I like the matching deck and dart, but, prefer the dart style on the Hallett, maybe a little longer and thinner.

Hey Billy, It's nice to see ya out again. Finally sobered up. At least enough to make some smart ass remark about my painting abilities. Anyway, before you fall prey to the bottle for another two week binge. what do ya think about drop down tape shade for the ol Rayson. Ya know, something like they did at Sanger...Maybe something in s**t brindle brown. The interior is going to be a beautiful shade of mustard, heavy on the "tard". The floor is getting a fresh flowcoat of British Racing Green. And to think you thought I was going to screw this thing up.
By the way. Watch for a package that's going to land in Upland soon. Bought ya a gift that will soon "straighten things up aroung there"

Billy now you see why my boat is in your shop and not RCL's. My brother Ron who owns the Rayson is scared to death of what his pride and joy will look like. You know Lou...... he's a piece of work. More of a piece then work..hehe
He and I along with four other idiots are headed to Orlando in the morning for the Performance Racing Industries Convention. Some one should call the National Gaurd and inform them of what lies ahead.
RCL is so winded that he will make one of their storms seem like a light breeze!

PS...Rumor has it that RCL thinks it would be trick to use garden hose from Home Depot to plumb his boat because the color goes so well with s**t brindle brown. So, if he approaches you about some fittings, tell him they won't work with his garden hose, but, you'll make him a killer deal on some stainless hoseclamps that you got from Billy(he'll think they came off his boat...we all know they came off the mist system that he uses with the toybox :wink: )

I had to special order the candy purple and candy blue from Krylon. It took two weeks...Billy Beavis eat your heart out.....RCL

Billy, I went by and checked this boat out. If he was paid by the hour to put tape down he would have had to charge on the half hour rate... I mean it looked like he did it in 20 minutes....
Damn lines look like a fat ladies a$$. They stray as much as RCL after a few Vodka's.
This is why my boat is in your shop and not his...... I need to go down there in a few minutes to check it out since colors been added. Going to have to leave soon, because after 5:00 pm RCL gets on the clear stuff. Vodka that is.....
Can you imagine trying to use Krylon in between those stripes?

I know this puny little Rayson doesnt mean much to you but to me and my little brother it is all he could afford. I really want to give it the full Vale treatment but he ran outa money in the middle of the project so I could only give him the simple two candy stripe deal. The image icon should be directly above the text box. It looks like this:http://www.***boat.com/forums/images/editor/insertimage.gif
If it isn't there, you can just place "" before the pic address and "" after it. Leave the quote marks out, had to do that so you could see the code. Hope that helps.
If all you have on your "reply" screen are a box for the title and another for text, you are set for "basic" mode. That can be changed back to "standard" in your "USER CP".

Thanks Ol Squirt, somehow the thing got changed in my user CP. I needed to show Billy B. how you paint a boat. First get a beer, then hire a painter. When painter comes out of booth to wait for next coat, tell painter to go to liquor store and buy Smirnoff. This method works best for great results.......RCL

Billy B. This is Brother Lou. By the look on his face he is yearning for the $800.00 Rattle Can Special that we do here at Minegar's. It's the once a month special we run in the local paper. Any boat, any size for $800.00. He heard about this and just about s#@t nickels. I consoled him the best I could. I told him by the time he bought fuel to get the boat that he would be upside down. Guys this is known as a "Dickey DO". As you can see RCL's stomach sticks out further then his dicky do.........Hence the name. Now I know i'm not in prime physical condition, but then again he's ugly and I could diet...................PS, I did use the word could . But then what would RCL do. Dave, you need to quit with the "beat the B boat" First of all you need a driver in the Nordy. Second of all you must remeber that I was responsible for both motors. The big Chebby goes on the dyno in about 3 weeks. The shortblock is done and it comes to me for paint next week. I think I'll paint it "color me gone". Then it goes back to get the brand new AFR heads bolted on. Then we put the Dominator on top. Pure pussy the way I see it. You can't really believe that relic is going to stay with me do ya? River Rats III will show the true results. Billy, you are the one that really needs a life. Great One please quit giving my poor bro any false hope.....RCL on the wifes computer...

The Rayson gets the final paint treatment with some tasty pinstriping and a new name. Also got the registration numbers up front. Don't show Billy these, this could be the one that drives him over the edge....
