OOOOPS, Sorry for the typo on the title...I know there is no "e" on Sony..
Is anyone using these remotes on their boat. If so, can you tell me if two of them can be used (drivers helm and swim step) and what the length of the cable is that comes with them...Thanks

I run that on my transom but have no idea as to cable length. If you pm Atomickitn (that is who did my work), I'm sure he can answer all your questions.

we have two, one on the transom and one at the driver's helm. they work pretty good but you need to seal the one on the transom with silicon. we have replaced it already do to water damage.

I also run the same setup on the transom and drivers helm and haven't had any issues. I was told by Ron at Ron's Customs that these are notorious for going bad and that Sony makes an oval one that is suppose to be cheaper and better. I'm not sure if anyone else has hear d this?

These? I was thinking of putting one them on the swim step and the Sony on the dash....just wondering if the cables are compatible....

I avoid Sony like the plauge. I've had Way too many malfunctions for my taste. A couple broken TV's One of which was replaced three times in within a month of purchase, Lots of Car stereo equipment, 2 Playstations, god only knows how many Walkmans back in the day, a surround reciever that was a year old, a couple of boom boxes, all failed in one way or another. I know a lot of people who think they make great stuff but My .02 is stay away from Sony.

I have two of these on my 25' with no problems at all. Bob at SW installed them. RD made some custom billet enclosures for them that match all of my other hardware. Hard to beat the price and it finishes of the dash.

Generally items like this come with cable the same length as a changer cable. About 16feet...

I talked with Detective Anderson the other night and she said she knew you. A kid fell off a car and cracked his head on my street right in front of my house. When I got home at 2A they had my street blocked off and were laser mapping everything because of the possibility of a fatality. He has not died but is in a coma.
That would be "Lieutenant" Anderson :) I'll let her know she got demoted. She is in charge of our M.A.I.T team. Her husband works in the bureau with me. Cool peeps

Also, can one use the Sony digital remote with the Acces Technology remote at the same time? One on the helm and one on the swimstep?
