Anyone ever seen a 22 Daytona or similar with a jet?

The center pod on the 22 is above the sponsons(at least it is on the newer Daytonas). This makes is a bit difficult for the jet to maintain contact with the water to continue to develop thrust. No water in = no thrust = motor on rev limiter.
I asked about this when I bought my 21 Daytona.
