25 Daytona prop question

I have a 96 25 Daytona with blown 572, about 1000hp and 900 on torque, running a Bravo drive( I know-no problems yet) with imco shorty and labbed 30 prop. Just wondering about trying different props and would like some imput. The boats a single step with a high-x. Any advice.....Thanks

hmmmm sounds like a post i did a year or so ago....
97 25' daytona dbl step high x gimbal mount with 2" shorty 1:50 gears ran a 30 p5x prop to a 118mph at 6700rpm.man what a ride! wishin i never got rid of that boat!!!

At work at the F.D.-no pics here. Saw ya at pleasant on your last trip. Red and white Daytona, used to have the blue 21. Was hopeing you would pipe up. Ever try any other setups? Thanks Jason

whats up bud! i put a big 900+ hp engine in my daytona and in havazoo ran a 118mph run. i tried lots of props and the best was the p5x 30. what gears do you have?

Same set up you had in your boat. I was just feelin around to see if anyone had any different opinions. Im runnin that same prop now, have not gotten wfo yet. Have not had the right water and want to keep my drive together for the time being. You sell your boat or end up tradin it in? Looks like you step up a bit. Gonna go big motors in the new one.....!!!!????

traded mine in and boy did i get a screwin! presented as a 2004 with 49hours. after getting it home to phx i find the engines are 1997's and wore the f**K out :mad:
i cant really do much until the attorney general in kentucky gets back to me. why oh why did i buy out east

Ah man thats sucks. I really hate hearing that kind of stuff. Money is too hard to come buy now a days to be screwed. Let me know if ya need any help, we can go burn that place down!!!

lol i hear ya! long trip to kentucky. i even tried to get my boat back but the guy who bought it wont let go of it. hmmm guess i shoulda taken that stance. are you with tempe fd?

Work for Guadalupe FD-crazy shiet here in the hood! Makin a move to another Dept here if all goes well. Yank those motors out, supercharge and innercool them, then we ll bolt number 6s on there and you will be good to go. Whats that, maybe 10 grand, he he he! Moneys no object. How bad are the motors anyway?

well these are merc 600sc so they have blowers already. both supers are now rebuilt but the engines are shot! one blew a headgasket and possibly warped the head. so im looking at 15 to 20k to get this thing done. i have standoffs and imco extreme drives so im good there.
where ya trying to get on? i've got tests coming up quick so lots of p.t. and studies ya know.

Gilbert FD here in a few months. If you need anything FD wise let me know, got alot of contacts over the years. Its all in who ya know.....ya know.

To JBB- I miss that LITTLE boat.
Sean I read the forum on oso and found it very interesting. LCM is a huge company and from what it seems they advertised the boat as 49 hrs. They should stand by that advertisement. I feel when you deal with a dealer then you would expect the truth. My question is have you had anyone survey the boat down here... might give ya a little more ground to stand on. Living in Lake Havasu for 10 years you learn that boat sales seems to be a somewhat shady enterprise. You never really know what you get unless you know the boat personally. Never the less the whole thing sounds shady. I think you should load up the boat and drive it back to LCM. See if they will stand by it with the boat physically at their shop. Its a long drive but may be worth it.......

i hear ya jason but at this time we're keeping quiet on the whole deal. i was given some pretty good advice from someone on that end of the deal so i'll let that play out. when it's done i'll post the results.

I figured with enough controversial talk on these forums a conclusion would arise. Hopefully it wil be in your favor or at least fair. You need to get that Daytona back! That thing was sick. I heard from the owner it had 49 hrs. HAAAA HAaaaa!!! Keep me up on the latest when you can.
