Does anyone know what the stock cam is for a 502? When I bought my boat I was told it had a small comp cam in it, just pulled the cam and it is a crane. The number that is on the end of the cam I think is HR-296-2S-12-IC
13 42 92

cranecams.com man. Commonly called the 741 cam

Those cams thump pretty hard in a 502

Yow, that is pretty stout.
INFO, am I just overlooking something - I can't find the LSA on those CC specs when I look one up. What gives?

Here's his actual cam part number. It's just a little different from the 741.

I found that one and saw the note at the bottom referencing the 741. I tought they were the same at first glance.
Add up the lobe centerlines and divide by 2 to get the LSA.

That was the same cams that I found. I know it came with a Crane cam just not sure which one. I'm trying to find out if it came with a roller or not. The block number is #14096859 all I can find is it's a 502 HO.GM Alum intake, Rec. port iron heads.

This is the Mercruiser HP500 Cam (http://cranecams.com/index.php?show=browseParts&action=partSpec&partNumber=169611&lvl=2&prt=5)
