Shipping Cost !

how does the hauler determine the shipping cost of a boat ?
so much per foot + mileage ?
so much per lb. + mileage.
it looks as if Cali or Az are the only places to buy a boat. by the time you figure in wages/vacation used,lodging,food, fuel cost & wear on your vehicle it seems cheaper to have one shipped !
trying to determine to figure in to the cost of a boat !

i have bought two boats in phonex and drove to pic em up from louisville ky and jackson ms and its not that bad. driving all the way across texas sucks but........it just an adventure .... i looked into shipping and it was outragious so u will still be better of driving.......

is there really that much of a price difference? how much are you talking about on a flat/runner bottom or a tunnel hull jet ??
if i could buy 2 at a time it would be worth it to drive!
problem now is the dually is in the p& b shop. rita crushed the cab on it & having it repaired !
