Where do you guys get your fenders at?
I'm looking to get some SS wide finders for my Competitive trailer. The plan is to mount them lower than before for the lowered look. I hear a 2x4 works great for mock up..
Anybody have pics or advice before I break out the torch and cut these old ones off?
What wheel and tire size do you guys reccomend?

They were 600 bucks pollished. The wheels are 15 X 8's with 235 60 15s and a very carefully measured offset. As you mentioned, these were set up using a 2 X 6 layed across the top of the tires. Wayne has 17" americans under his and they fit fine.

This is billys infamous straight axle trailer. These fenders are chrome steel over deep dish (CHEAPY) wheels.

Jerry, thats a good deal for those fenders. KTW does great work, your trailer turned out awesome. Did they sell you the wheels too? I checked a bunch of different tire shops and none of them really carry the nice trailer tires like you, Wayne and Jim B have.
CS19, here is a pic of Wayne's trailer.

If anyone knows of a place that sells nice trailer tires, please post up.

D, I bought my wheels and tires from Dan. I went with a tire size that is relatively easy to find almost anywhere. I do carry a spare but you never know where you might be (halfway to Idaho for ex.) when trouble hits. Also common sizes are cheaper. Aside from that whatever fits the wheel without rubbing inside or protruding outside should work (I'm sure Lucky will have fun w/ that one). I wouldn't recommend the cheapest tire out there but you know us trailer queens,,,,most of our trailer tires crack the sidewalls long before the tread wares out. :boxed:

Wanes trailer looks nice I wonder what it would have looed like if it matched the HOK green on the hull.I had a comp tandem trailer with crome fenders and had it painted Tangleo(sp) candy HOK orange to match the hull when I had it painted loved how custom it looked.I wanted to  when it started getting chips in it.

Dan sure did make your trailer better than new. When it comes time to sprucing mine up, he is the man. I will definately recomend them to anyone.
