Tired of non-residents getting a big break.
Even residents look like they will have to pay more , at least I think thats what the paperwork said. But seriously Triple?????? The boat only cost me 1700.00 bucks. If I had a brand new ULTRA I could see it but come on.

That's just want I read somewhere. You're right, a $200+ reg on a $1700 boat seems rather exhorbitant. Makes me wonder why you don't register it in CA?
Curently a resident of Nevada for possible Law School pursuits, thus registration in Cali poses a non resident issue. Nevada is gonna cost me 45$ total, one down side though I gotta tow it up there fro LHC.

I guess I'll stick with Delaware. Boats up to 25'11 are $21.50 a year, or $61.50 for 3 years.

It's based strictly on length. Make, model or value doesn't matter.

No. I wasn't sure when he had to register it. Nevada's registration is every Jan until the next Jan. Besides who's doing much in the way of boatin' until March anyway??

That is why I am in AZ 256 or something

The penalty is living in Delaware. :p ;)
Yep, you got a point there. I guess if I want to come to Cal, I could visit my aunt in Rancho Mirage.
