View Full Version : intake gaskets for a tall BBC w/ adapters

i have to change my gaskets because the intake is leaking between the block and the intake by the distrib hole any one know of some good ones and not mr gasket stuff or for just sheets of material or any new compounds -like rtv the high temp rtv lasted 10 years so im not complaning about it but is there something new???????????---nasty http://free.***boat.net/ubb/wink.gif

Most everybody just uses silicone. But if the gap is too big it may get blown out. You say the old silicone lasted 10 years? You may have a blow by problem presurizing your crankcase and that may have blown out the gasket.

theres not that much psi i run vents from the valve covers through the headers and the open space in the alm bow-tie heads you can almost reach your arm through to the other side under the intake after runnin boats all day at laughlin it started leaking its no big deal to fix just a pain in da butt ---nasty
