From what I know Revenge boats are splashes of Biesmeyers, with another set of strakes? I could be wrong though, it could be a direct splash.

From what I have been told the only difference on my Revenge is the deck rail down the center & the bottom is said to have a little more rocker towards the back. My boat is a 2 strake deal.
Jerry will know, but I doubt they made a jet. Bob Goetle & his brother were pretty serious racers. Pretty sure the Revenge was a go fast deal only :) :argue: :)
BTW- The fastest circle boat ever built, happens to be a Revenge. K-69 :rollside:

I was thinking of it as a comp jet circle boat. I saw quite a few at the races in Parker, v-drive flats, and was just curious if they did that.

What you saw in Parker were probably D' Cucci's. I've never seen a Revenge Jet  . Why would you ask about a Revenge instead of the original Biesemeyer that everyone copied?
Anywho, call Joey Cucci, I bet he could answer all your questions about these types of boats.

I misunderstood you then, I thought you had seen a Biesemeyer jet boat copy that would be common CJ class and wanted to know if revenge had a version.
I have to take off to work so I can't type out the entire revenge story for you sorry.

Not sure, he parked right next to us though. He was a Mexican guy. Said he bought it for $8k and did a little work to it. I think it he said it was an 88 or something, it was pretty new and in the 80s. It was clean in and out.

Well I don't type very fast, but what do you want to know about
Biesemeyer jet boats. I raced a two comp jet D'Cucci jets, and a
Biesemeyer in the early and mid eighties. Most of the Biesemeyer jets
have a droped chine like a 19' Rodgers. Most of the Biesemeyers with
the droped chine were used for drag racing.
The D'Cucci boats work very well for circle racing, and still have most of
the comp jet course records. Most of them are up in Idaho and Washington
where they still circle race jet boats. Bob Long had a Biesemeyer ( ?? Splash)
the Daytona jet boat built at Sundown Marine in Huntington Beach.
He built a lot of these for ski boats with both jets and outboards.

Yes Art, Don Moyle has the mile and a quarter course record in a D'Cucci
with a Daytona deck. I think the other records belong to John Fox in
Washington in the last D'Cucci that I drove. It was a t deck, with
removable lifting strakes. It was interesting being able to use different
length center strakes rather than change other hardware.

I am really serching for this info for the 2006 SCSC season. We are trying to bring a version of comp jet back. We will probably be stuck with an 80mph max speed but that will be OK.

Richard, all Don's jets had the T-Deck, it is the one from the flat that is the only deck mold he has.. I remember seing Moyle's boat being built, but maybe he changed it I don't recall that though???.. And yes I do believe John Fox has the other record!..

Art, Don Moyle wanted center steering, so D'Cucci built the hull, and Bob Long
built the deck, which was installed by D'Cucci. Then I picked up the boat from
D'Cucci and painted it for Don Moyle. These are great handling boats, and
with plates drive just like a SS boat. The only problem is they run really flat,
and take lots of horse power to make go fast.

By fast and lots of HP what are we talking about ??? 80.9MPH is max in the Nastalgia Endurance class right now and Ross has basically said that it probably will not change anytime soon. We need a few more boats to have our own class. There were two for the Regatta, I am out till the first '06 race second race of the season. I will need a boat that will run hard so we can collect points. And yes I will have two BBF for the boat.

That's right, I forgot about him wanting a center deal, now I remember Don didn't really want to do that but he insisted on it!... Yeah they are different, one of the only ones that don't shoot the nose to the moon when you stand on it from a stand still. Jim Padjett ran one for a while with the NJBA and kicked ass with it in circles, and then ran brackets and cleaned up in that too!.. Bob Miller had one with a blown small block that was pretty respectable since it was supposed to be a just a ski boat!..

Does anyone know the actual story behind the R boats ???
Heres what I have picked up over the years....
Bob Goettel and his brother Richard had been racing a Hondo that was 1 of Chuck Boyds old K boats. Bob studied home movies of Julian with the goal to take over the K racing world himself. They decided they needed to be building their own boats.
After 77 or so the brothers with Jimmy Anderson and Steele came out with the Revenge. Those who remember the G.A.S. logo will recognize it as Goettel Anderson and Steele. Their splash was supposedly of a twisted "race only" Biesemeyer hull.
The first boat they built was an SS for Paul Stratton. The boat was just over 400 pounds and took US 1 in its debut year.
In the years to come Bob led a very successful racing career using motors from Cerney, Pfaff and Bob Leonhardt.
Its said the Revenge has more rocker to go along with slight cosmetic changes to the original Biesemeyer.
John Hart in Havasu currently has the molds and builds boats.
If your looking for more info, I'm sure Phil Bergeron, Billy B., John Hart, Joey Cucci, The real K-boat King and a number of other guys on these boards can give you more "in-depth" info into Revenge boats.

Alot of great info in this thread for the new Nastalgia Comp Jet Class.
I have received word today from Ross Wallach Commodor of the SCSC, that for us, the Nastalgia Comp Jet Class, to start our season at Lake Ming/Bakersfield in March, I need commitments. Anyone wishing to field a boat in the Nastalgia Comp Jet Class on March 3rd - 4th, please step up now. I have posted the proposed basic rules and I will be submitting them to SCSC on Jan. 20th.
The Southern California Speedboat Club is offering a Nastalgia Comp Jet Class, but with few CJs, they have had to race against the v-drives. This is OK for bragging rights, but according to Ross Wallach (Commodore of SCSC), we Jet Boat Guys and Gals can have our own class if there are a minimum number of participants.
I am working on a Nastalgia Comp Jet Class for SCSC. My goal is to put the rules together that will accommodate most Jet Boat circle racing classes. This is the key to bringing the Comp Jet class back, unity. I want to instill on everyone that no matter what, the max speed rule of 80.9 will not be changed. This one rule is our major governing body to keep the little guy in the game. I am also inviting everyone to give there input. We do not have Official Rules at this time for Nastalgia Comp Jet. I would like to make a general group of rules across the country. This way if a guy in NC wants to run out at Lake Ming, CA, all he has to worry about is getting here on time.
Anyone that is interested, would like to get involved, or want more info in Jet Boat Circle racing, please let me know by email: jrpm@npgcable.com. We need a minimum of 5 boats to have a Comp Jet Class.
These are the proposed rules, as of now, that will be submitted for approval on January 20th, 2006 to SCSC for the 2006 Comp Jet Class;
Please review
Nastalgia Comp Jet Class

What are your thought on the Revenge Boats ???
Did they ever make a Jet like the B boat guys ???
Any contact info available ???
Thanks
Jim
Dear Jim: You are misusing your abbs! An 'R-boat' would be the omipotent Rayson Craft. Since, it cant be called an 'RC' (remote controlled model) and deserve much more respect! The Revenge copy is merely a 'b-boat' as well as the Daytona or the Bolton Spitfire or the Decucci. Don and Joey, with all due respect, your T-deck is one of my favorite b boats and from a safety standpoint are different. My boats are 'L-boats' an abbreviation for Lavey Craft. Now, the best boats are 'A-boats' and I will let you guess what's better than a 'b-boat'!
Good luck on your new-old class and we have a long deck Jet-b-boat just like the one pictured up here for sale with or without BBC. Idea: why dont you have your first race in Burley where the other 4 comp jets are?! After your victory, the word will spread, dont you think? And you wont be limited to 80mph.......PS, if anyone knows John Fox, would you have him give us a call, we would like another jet to run Nostalgia at Sammamish this June. jErK

Revenge did make a jet bottom. There was one for sale here in Havasu for awhile. (the guys name is Tim and he crews for the Urban Menace dragboat team) Don't know if he still has it but it was an ex comp jet and a nice boat. Looked just like the Daytona version with a rib down the deck. Just don't ask my opinion of Revenge's current owner....
PS, another guy on the boards "Floored" has (or had) a 97 Biesemeyer (by Steele Racing) jet. I think they were layed up by Cheetah before Steele went under.
