There have been a few beautiful boats delivered recently to HB members, and my buddy Bob Carpenter at Family & Performance Boating Magazine is looking for a "Feature" boat in a HURRY !!!

He would like to shoot maybe 3-4 boats if he has to go out to Havasu, otherwise he woud prefer to do something on Elsinore or Castaic.
So, Havasu on Saturday December 10th looks ike the best day for him, so let's line up today who thinks they could make a commitment for that day in Havasu :cool:

I just ordered up a new Orion...I know, it's not the DCB or Ultra like are most common or popular, but I'm excited and it should turn out nice. It won't be complete til Jan or so but it'd be cool to see it in a magazine since it's a little different and kind of a new build.

The following boats and boat owners that have graciously offered up there hardware are as follows:
UnionJack's 29' DCB
PhatMatt's 29' E-Ticket
BadAssChevy's 28' Lavey Prowler
Magic34's 34' Magic ???
The tentative plan at present is to meet at 11:00 a.m. at the docks over at the London Bridge Resort on Saturday, December 10th. More than likely what will happen is that all of the interior shots will be done right there at the docks and then the photographer will likely take a spot on the bridge and shoot down to each boat from above, while the boat is sort of drivin' around in a circle right in front of the London Bridge resort. The whole thing should take less than an hour and a half.
I will have some Data/Spec sheets that I would like each boat owner to complete and return a.s.a.p., so the photographer can plan the shoot accordingly and know a little in advance of what he is going to be looking at and looking for. Please PM me your e-mail address for the Data sheets.

Only problem is that many vendors or shops are tired of the magazine prints for giving free product. That was an easy trend 3-5 years ago. Today, if you get on TV with it, then it comes free.

Very true... There was a time when people use to want us, and other shops, to sponsor their car stereo systems. The few places I've worked for said forfiet your car for 10 months and it's a go ,because it's ours for that term inorder to tour it around the country after we put 80k in labor and gear in it... It had better been a sic car to begin with, as well...
