Trying to squeeze some more MPH out of my new DCB22, searched the net and all I could find was some 30 knot boat picked up 2 knots.
So, would you do it?
How much more mph did you get?
thanks

I'm a fellow DCB owner..What engine are you running in your Mach 22? What prop? Give me all the general info about the boat, I'll try to help

300X, prop not a clue, I will ask Dave. No open Bow, also going with the trick material to lighten up the boat(150-200lbs). This is my 10th boat but never had a HiPo Out board.
Thanks for the response.

I would go with the light weight lay up in the Mach 22. My buddy Larry went with the light lay up in his Mach 26, with twin 300X's. He got extra speed from it. Seems like it is the hot ticket now, I wish I could have had it put in my boat, but things change all the time.
Good Luck

We did the light weight deal should save 200lbs.
But will the graphite add more speed?

GaryC- With 200 pounds less, youre gonna gain some speed. It will be noticiable, how fast does Dave say the boat will run? I have a buddy who was looking at the Mach 22, but shied away beacause of the low freeboard. He opted for a Schiada 21 River Tunnel instead, with a 300X. Schiada also did the light weight bottom, and his Schiada should run up with the Mach. Just wondering.
