View Full Version : Blower Coupler - PSI & BDS

Hello everyone,
:argue:
Need some help.
Take a look at these two blower drive couplers for comparison.
The coupler on the Northside is a competition version used by Mooneyham and BDS with a shaft thickness of 1 ¼ diameter.

The coupler on the Southside is PSI and will fit 206 B and D series screw blowers.
My concern is the psi version the “heavy duty” one.
Can anybody shed some light on the PSI couplers available?
Is this one I have the strongest version?

Wills ... get the PSI snout ... it's the best way to go ...

nevermind ... you have the drive coupler to use a regular roots snout?

The coupler is a lot thinner than comp version BDS
The shaft is one inch in dia

Right ... the PSI drive is 1" solid I believe ... but with their complete snout, you won't need a coupler ... it should bolt direct ... here's Ron's as well ...

Yep..81. I had figured a 56 on bottom.
ya know...they make a larger bottom if he wants to step it up. :skull:

We run 58/30 on the blown gas dealio ... 93%! PSI's run higher ratios ... gotta have that 40 lbs of boost! :D

You have to machine off the bottom 1/3 of the extension! just enough to not go through ... take out as much material as you can!
