383 Build

Hello,
I am building a 383 stroker for a 24' Four Winns Liberator. I am using (already have) ported and polished 882 heads, 76cc, 2.05/1.60 valves. I will run about 9.5:1 compression. Aqua power manifolds and risers, thru-hull exhaust
I am looking for advice/experience for carb, intake and cam recommendations. I will not want to go past 5500 rpm, and am looking the most MPH :)

:rolleyes: Are you uesing 6" rods? I have and its worth it.... As Smokey allways said "The longer the rod the better". I built a srtoker for a buddies 57 Vett and all he wanted was to spank them 5.0s. I bought the kit from DYNA FLO and we had to detune the beast to drive with it in 4th gear. Out of about four SBC i've stroked the long rod motors were the shit. Price wise there isnt much difference.

Do you already have your rotating assembly? If not I have a fresh "NEW" 6" rod 4340 Scatt crank and rods with JE pistons balanced and assembled in a new GM HO block that accepts roller cam and lifters. ITs in short block form less cam. Baged and wraped looking for new home. Went BBC instead of finshing. Let me know if your interested.

I've already got the shortblock, but I am not sure if it has 5.7 or 6 rods in it. It is a buddies motor, and it is not out of his boat yet.
