I put in a call to a friend today to see if they have something that will work for you. Do you have the taperd square deal, splined shaft or the tapered shaft ???

Would like to trade this long one for a shorter one so that I can move the seats forward and make room for a back seat. Has a Berry grant wheel on it.

6" tapered extension from either Rex or Eddie Marine (and other places I'm sure). You have to buy the steering wheel adadpter to go with it. The 3" extension that was on it before was an extension/adapter in one piece. This moved everything back 4", which isn't a lot, but I'm trying to do the same thing you are...just get away from the dash a little. This was the longest extension I could find for the tapered shaft, so I figure it's better than nothing...4" is just that much further back than I was before.
(not saying there isn't longer extensions...I just didn't find one.)
Good luck.
