They were all over the place at Dumont. They don't look like they ride very well but people seem to be spending big bucks on them just the paint jobs are crazy.

All the bling that works on a wakeboard boat works on a Rhino.
Kawasaki Mule has a crewcab model, that has yet to be discovered.
Someone in the family that doesnt like quads or buggies,, but loves driving on the dunes will love the Polaris / mule / rhino kinda rides.

Well, I am sure all the Rhino's owners will never even notice the joking dig since this thread will get pushed to the bottom with another Riverbound and 76Anthony's daily circle jerk thread about Barbi....:):)

I would say for me personally with (2) smaller children, that it would be an economical solution to some reliable family fun, not to mention the ability to putt around the streets of Havasu.
I will buy one and trick it out when they put in the new fuel injected 700 motor next year. In the meantime, I will bum rides off my friends like H20 Toie that has all the big baller toys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Then put in down in C&T. Those ballers will be on it pronto!!! Should last a few days or so...

Seriously on Rhino's....I think they are pretty cheap solution for a nice 2 seater that can go in the desert or sand. Pretty good motor, reliable, nice travel, ground clearance, and the key locking diff's.
I don't agree with dropping 10 to 20K on top of the base model....but maybe a real roll cage and a black box...
Someone said it above...they are bling vehicle so everyone is blinging them....no harm......I am the same way with most of my stuff.

Dough Tied Up, exactly.....that is why I find a stock Rhino pretty economical and a good choice for some......I bought the jeep for $$$$ and dropped another $$$$$+ into axles, arb lockers, slip yoke elim, drive shaft, upgraded compressor, wheels/tires, bumpers, gears, RE Lift and the list goes on....I may be able to go more places in it then a Rhino but it is at a cost....The Rhino is pretty economical and can go a lot of places for the money.

My folks are retired and have two serious rock crawlers built up - his and hers Jeeps... Pull them behind their moho. They stay gone for months going from run to run. Carry everything spare - drivelines, axels, R&P's, you name it. Moho is a portable fab shop. They are having more fun than I do, for sure.
Nothing like your 74 y/o mom calling and asking you to "swing by Currie and pick up my narrowed Dana 60/ARB'd disc braked b-day present"...
Pretty f-ing cool, if I do say so. Those things go anywhere.

I think the deal with Rhinos are a few things. I personally was set to buy a 06 450 quad. I drove a Rhino 660 and was hooked instantly. Two days later I was driving one home.
The bling factor is like anything else, some are into it, others are not. I would love to bling my Rhino out but after 3 trips out and more scratches then my jeep, I said nope. For now the bucket seat, full roll cage, black box and spacers will do. The wife and kids love it, so thats all that matters.... oh yeah and sometimes they let me drive it. :rollside:

I have the 5k jeep that i have put about 40k into and will never be done there is always something else. but it is hard to put a jeep and buggy into trailer, but the buggy and rhino might work.

I like mine for cruzin with the family! We crank the tunes and have a few beers. Even the dogs like it. It is safe and cheap!! Better yet I am not soar in the AM when a hangover is bad enough!!
The price is right and I still have room in the trailer!! You cant beat it for following the little ones too! If I wanted to I could do the rail but for now we are having fun!!
I have had 3 jeeps and this wamps the crap out of them. If you dont have a million$$ into them that is. Then you might as well have a cool sand car.

IMO just an overpriced golf cart,Although i have seen people dune them they will go pretty far with good driving. Not my choice of wheels rather drive the buggy or atc vs paying 10-11k.then adding more into it.
But that is my opinion if you like them buy them, drive them, bling them,or whatever you choose.

Well, I am sure all the Rhino's owners will never even notice the joking dig since this thread will get pushed to the bottom with another Riverbound and 76Anthony's daily circle jerk thread about Barbi....:):)
I will Bump this for you MBrown :)
As far as the Rhino.
I bought mine becuse of a couple different reasons.
1) I needed something to haul my 2 and 4yr. old around in, and a "real" car wont fit in my trailer.
2) Im not a big "sand" person. so I couldnt justify the $$$ for a "real" car.
3) The rhino fits in the bed of my truck
4) WTF do you care, I enjoy it and thats all that should matter. I didn't buy it for what other people would think. If you dont like it, make the payments on a "real" car for me and I will drive that aruond.

The new Ranger, although uglier IMHO, is 700CC and EFI.
Who know's more about the Honda offering?

I also chose the Rhino because of availability of aftermarket parts for it.

Honda is in totally keeping there secret, and the 700 ranger still sucks top end it is equal to a rhino but a rhino is long gone already and the seating in it is uncomfortable and they just look like they need a garden sprayer and a 65 year old man driving them

Then you got a lot of free stuff, for the normal folks like me just those axles would be over 10k

I have about 19k but will sell it for 17k. I dont have room in the trailer with the sandrail, quads, bikes etc. It really is a bitchen ride and well people just plain flock around it when they see it.

My buddy just got the 660 rhino last weekend and is already thinking of the bling? Question is where is the best place for all the aftermarket parts? He wants to do a stereo, better wheels, and pipe? Oh yeah his girlfriend flipped it in the first 5 minutes!!!

I don't wanna hyjack the thread, But I got two free seats from PRP outta the deal. Built the axles myself, and yes damn near $10,000 in the axles. I'm into it for about $25,000 in the picture but I'm not done yet. Pretty good guess on $45,000. I figure thats about right. All the labor was on me and my friends.
I saw the rhino thing comming, I wish I would have went with my gut feeling and built some parts for them. Damn things are everywhere. I still would drop the duckets on a $2500 Jeep over the rhino but thats just me.

I know i have a cj7 with tricounty dana 44 axles and a 360 fi engine/ air compressor/welder/Beard seats/full cage/bulletproof bumpers etc, and it is such a money pit it seems like everytime i take it out it cost at least 5k for something. granted i don't just cruise on fire roads.
