Hey Taylorman...
if ur looking for baffles...IMO SupperTrapps are the best that i have ever used...they are easy to install & come with 10/12 discs to adjust the sound & performance of ur motor...when i lived in Calif, i used them & never had a prob with passing the noise levels...i personally recommend them...Summit Raceing sells them...just my .02 cents

When you ran the Supertrapps, was there a noticeable difference in sound as far as quieting it down?

when i ran them...i used all the baffles supplied for each side...never a prob with deceibel levels...i think at the time it was 92dcb...the directions said to add discs for more/better perf & a little louder...almost like open exhaust & still legal & to subtract discs to quiet it down...i tried that & it did quiet it down quite a bit, but i liked the louder sound, so i used all the discs...why do u need baffles anyways?...u live in Texas!...everythings "Big & Loud" there! lol...are they hassleing u over the sound?

p.s. there much easier to install then the kind u have to push in the end of the tube & cant get out when u want to!!!

I bought 'em as a "just in case" deal. They don't take up any room, so if I end up in a situation where I need 'em, I can slap them in. They are the Bassett baffles, that look like an auger or a corkscrew. I tried them out & it didn't seem to make much difference on the noise other than at idle. Kind of lost that crisp exhaust note when on the the throttle, but not much quieter at all. As far as problems? Nah, we like 'em loud down here. I've been checked out several times & all I get is a "Nice boat", "Be Careful", or a "Have A Nice Day". I'm a very courteous boater.:D :D
