Rush L read an email today from a military commander in Iraq telling how they dumped a French refrigerator out of the control tower at the Baghdad air control tower. Seems the thing was so poorly made it's noise was causing interference with communications. The building's French elevator was so dilapidated and undependable, they had to dump it off the roof. He was very discouraged with French technology.
