What is the " Da Kine" Home Video Camera?

We want to move outta svhs c to something with more definition.
We don't want to go to a disc system, just something digital and compact with lots of lens power.
What system is Tits right now and may be around for a while.
Anything near High Def and affordable yet??

I have one of these and am very happy with it the only down side is it gets a bit grainy in low light situations other than that its BITCHEN!!!!!

Of course everything depends on he $$$ that you want to spend...
Under $1000 everything is about the same - just get one you are comforable with...
Best value if you are pretty serious....
