So as I am sifting thru the endless posts of nonsense and attempted humor at the "Sandbar" lounge, I could not help but spew a little steam off.
I own a boat because I dig performance. I enjoy that my girlfriend at the time could give a SH&^T damn about my boats, does not want to be part of my boating friends, and stays out of my hair! All she cares about, just like 90% of the girls at the river is that its "shiny and fast"!. Is it stereotyping, hell yes! I like it that way! The married guys who bring sand to the beach on the holiday weekends are the same ones bitchin' about the lez fest going on down at the Sandbar! Why, cuz they can't be in the front row!!
I come to "Just Jets" to shoot the crap with the guys, get mechanical opinions, BS, whatever. NOT plan my next Flag Day party dinner with all the plastic wifes with house refi money! Does my girlfriend even know WTF ***boat is? Hells no. Just as I could give a damn what Dr. Phil had to say last night:) Is this what marriage has in store for me? To castrate myself? I'll pass.....
It amazes me that these guys drive around in half a million dollar boats, and they have their wifes up front commanding ship! I want a boat of that caliber for several things, to go fast and attract poon.
In closing, Thank You Just jets for keeping it real. It is refreshing!
And yes, I own an old Jet and I am proud of it!!

Hey 396, thanks for the words! I will definately make it out there next year, I have a house in Buckeye, just outside of Phoenix, I need to make it out more often, it sits empty.
I agree with you on the 80k rigging part. I have alot more respect for them as well.
On a side note, I took my blue jet out to Elsinore yesterday with the 455 in it. It has been a strong runner, but it seems like it either blew a head gasket of somehow ingested water. It starting puking milkshake out the breathers and all over the back of the bilge. I am pretty bummed over it. Ill keep ya posted when I dig in today.

hey gq ... being that ive been on the planet five past a quater century.. ive come to notice that to each .... indivuals... that got to the river or lakes that it really depends on the group that you hang with ... i dig going to the dike fest .. but i bought a ski boat ..and with the large group 'family' ..that live in sd and in yuma that its cool to see the ' show ' but a few of us ilke to play shoes and ski and hang out where the sand bar isnt as crowded . it really sucks when ya wanna to have a beer in your boat and the man is hanging around waiting for ya to leave ... or my fav... pepper spraay ... that sucks .... in not trying to bitch but my views have changed on what is fun is since i have bought my boat and with the people i hang out with now ... were awalys gonna have the show where ever we go as boaters, we just have to make a decision wether we want front row or nose bleed seats .i can make fun out of every situation ive been thrown into .... its all about not working !!!!!!!!! :) :220v:
