Yes I am a lurker on these boards. I run a couple websites and just trying to see how the good ones are done. :) You all have a awesome site here.
As for the name. Got it after many tries and rejections for a screen name joining a web site. Finally typed in the one I have now and it worked. You couldn't change your name without a different email address (only had one at the time) so it stuck. The sad thing is they booted me off the board because they thought the name made them look bad a couple months later. f_ them if they cant take a joke. That was 6 years ago and I use it on any site I join. So if you see the name on other sites its me or someone who wants to be me. :cool:

Lots of work and money with this one. Only about 110 made between two manufactures. Lots of history goes along with it also. It is a Allen "Brownie" Brown creation and a Miami glamour boat original. If you know Don Aronow (of Donzi fame), Brownie was a big part of the whole thing back then. When he left Donzi he built my boat and one other (a 24 version). After 2 years my boat's molds were sold to Allmand boats and the 24 was sold to Well Craft and was the basis for every WellCraft Nova made.

One part Cary, 2 parts Donzi and a little imagination from Brownie. All these boats (Donzi, Magnum, Formula, Nova and Cigarette) were just built for racing back then, selling them was a afterthought. They would build a few for their "boat dealership" and that way they could use the company as a tax dodge. When they would come up with a new concept boat to race they would sell the company they had going at the time and move on to the next company.
Brownie would race a stock Nova19 and would go on to win the inboard division in the 1970 Miami- Key Largo race with it. "The boat had a single 375 hp Chrysler. She was stock in all other respects except for extra tanks, a special set of racing seats and a racing compass mounted on the foredeck. Brownie was nearly killed in the Nova 24 race boat a year later and decided to sell his tax dodging company and now works for Stainless Marine, the exhaust manifold company.
